Games 146, 147, 148, and 149 - Why Bother?

Not much to say about that. The Mariners got swept. On to Canada.

I'm working on the 2005 report card - first installment should be up by Friday.

Edit: The following was contained at the bottom of the Notebook feature in the PI this morning:

"To make room on the 40-man roster for Morse, first baseman/DH Bucky Jacobsen was taken off it, which may signal the end of his Seattle career. Jacobsen, who spent the season recovering from a series of knee surgeries, can be a free agent at the end of the season."

And so it goes.

Too Bad,
I had him penciled in as the DH next year. Well, there's still Barry Bonds (A poor mans Jacobsen). Well, it appeared as though, with the sweep of the angels, that the mariners would finally come out of the trough and quit bobbing around so much. (you can't even blame it on the not so junior officer at the helm). But alas, it was not to be. A sweep at the hands of the Rangers, has us all scratching our heads wondering what the heck!!! The pitching that I thought was finally hitting its stride, capsized, but the offense showed a little something. Consistency (winning) would be a pleasant surprise. It really sucks when the teams you root for just never seem to be able to put it all together. I haven't been able to swear off women or sports, my life just sucks! One consolation, I am in El Paso (gag).

Regards, Larry
