Non-tendered Players

Bryan Smith over at Baseball Analysts has some interesting comments concerning several players that were non-tendered yesterday. The best:
  • Ryan Franklin - "I would suggest he look into the salary difference between being a AAA ace and whatever job he could get away from baseball very soon."
  • Wade Miller - "It appears as if the days in which Wade Miller has great stuff are gone, and he must learn to adapt with merely average stuff."
  • Miguel Olivo - "If he could walk or make contact, he'd be an everyday catcher."
  • Eric Byrnes - "I've always thought of him as a poor man's Aaron Rowand, and someone in need of a versatile 4th outfielder, and accomplished southpaw basher should call Byrnes up."
