The Mariners unloaded the lumber last night in Anaheim. They have certainly owned the Angels for the last two seasons. The hitters definitely picked up the pitching staff last night (Meche and Fruto anyway) and provided another very enjoyable game.

On the pregame show (FSN), Bill Bavasi discussed Jeremy Reed, and actually used the P word (platoon). I'm paraphrasing, but Bavasi basically said that he would like to see Reed succeed with the club, but it's more important right now to win games than to develop Reed. He said that he thought that the platoon was a good idea for now. He also said that he felt that Reed was at a pivotal point in his career. So I think the message in all of that is pretty clear - shape up or prepare to ship out!
