Playing Out The String

I've arrived at the point in the season where I really don't care what the Mariners do anymore. Win or lose, it's all the same to me. I'm ready for the season to be over. It's been another frustrating year - although this one was a bit more enjoyable than the last two seasons. It's certainly time to start thinking about what needs to be done in order to make the team better for next season. Along those lines, Dave has a great post over at U.S.S. Mariner today that cautions against giving long-term contracts to FA pitchers. It's a great read (as usual) and is an excellent place to begin the discussion about what the club should look like next year.
