Spring 2007

So we're 10 games into the 2007 Cactus League schedule and I'm not really hopeful about the season. Yeah, I know it's early. Yeah, I know that Spring Training games don't matter. But listen, the M's have stunk for three years running, and it's going to take a little more than what I've seen so far to convince me that they are going to win the AL West this year. Okay, it's going to take a little more than what I've seen so far to convince me that they aren't headed for another last place finish. Although it was nice to see them kick the snot out of the Angels. :D

Hold on Bobaloo, just because Richie hitless is o'fer, and will likely be batting 5th, ready to snuff out more than 1 rally, doesn't mean that this season is going to be a total loss. Maybe the pitching will step up and hold everyone scoreless. Heck, if they can just beat the A's, Angels and Rangers on a consistent basis, we could possibly be talking pennant. Ok, I'm sufficiently depressed now and ready to suffer through another 162 game season (less with a couple of rainouts). Good news is, Next year we get another Rah Rah speech from management, another off season of sitting on our hands and parlaying 100+ million on substandard talent, and the inevitable loss of Ichi.....But at least Grover is gone...

T.O.

No posts for a week, hope you all is well, and you haven't given up on the season yet. A lot of optimistic news on the minor league front with Morrow pitching well in ST, and LaHair Scorching the ball. Looking forward to your next post.
