Keeping Things In Perspective

With three summers in a row of losing ballclubs, it's been difficult for me to keep things in perspective this year. However, the games played this weekend at Safeco Field have once again reminded me that no matter how rough the last three years have been, the current season still holds lots of promise. The Mariners ended up the weekend with a series win against the Yankees - and that's not a bad thing. The club is over .500 and playing good baseball (mostly). And Felix will be back on Tuesday!

If Felix can pick up where he left off, and the M's can take 2 of 3 from the Angels, they have to be given their due. There 3 top starters going against the Angels is a good measuring tool against the conference leaders. Still not sure what's up with Ramirez who does well at home, but is pathetic on the road. Batista who is playing the Jeckyl and hyde card this year, though I am sure thats what they expected of him. Heaven forbid Weaver comes back!!!!! They need to cut their losses with Weaver and Rhodes. Offense has been OK this year, not great but OK! The rest of this month is good, with 6 against the Angels, 3 against SD, and the remaining 8 with TB, KC, TX, and Clev. Lets get going.
