John Lackey Does Not Suck

Man, you've got to give credit where credit is due. John Lackey pitched one helluva ball game last night. He made the Mariner hitters look bad (no small feat considering the M's offense is one of the best in baseball).

The M's aren't going to make this easy on themselves. I'm getting to the point that I really dread roadtrips to Texas - seems like nothing good has come out of one of those trips for quite a few years now. In any event, taking 2 of 3 from Anaheim will get this team right back on track. Go M's!!

Update: Okay, it's not being overly dramatic to say that today's game is a must-win for the M's. Come on Felix!! Go M's!!

I try not to read too much into things, but the sweep of the Mariners by the Angels, I believe, doesn't bode well for winning the division. Luckily the Yankees haven't exactly been on fire lately, though I'll probably jinx that since they seem to have Boston's number lately. This is not the time for an offensive meltdown. Here's looking forward.

Go M's.

Remember engineering drill aboard ship and how much we hated brown downs because they affected our equipment so much afterwards. Well, the M's are conducting engineering drills and the brown downs are affecting the offensive outputs. There is a significant drain on the M's offense right now, time for someone to pick up the pace before we are DIW (Dead in the Water)

In a comment after tonights loss to Cleveland, I know that it's imperative to establish some faith in a new pitcher, but knowing full well that Rick White just isn't getting it, why not bring in JJ to mop up. Finally the offense shows up, but still leaving too many men on base to give me a warm fuzzy. Now a game in back of the Yanks!!!
