Tough Loss

That was indeed a tough loss last night. An interesting game from a fan's standpoint, it appeared that the M's were on their way to another W until that Josh Hamilton character decided to ruin it. By the way, check out what Jeff had to say about Mr. Hamilton over at Lookout Landing - I find myself in complete agreement.

Edit: And it might have just gotten a lot tougher. Putz goes on the 15 day DL - read it here.

First time I've had the opportunity to see Josh Hamilton, and I watched the game at work which isn't conducive to keeping track of it, but when I saw Hamilton hit that homer, my countenance sank. So much for that perfect season I was hoping for. The M's showed some fight though, which should be a good sign. I saw the article on Putz also, lets hope it's a mendable thing and he's back in 15. I'm hoping that the weather has been a big contributor to the starting pitching not looking as good as I thought it would be.

Good comeback tonight, with Silva pitching a 2 hitter. Batista Closing??? He did a good job!! Amazing the way Richie's not hitting, what's your bet on how long it takes before the M's DFA him. Heck, lets try Morse at first, can't be any worse. Sexson looked horrible in the field the previous night also. On to Baltimore.

Yeah - here's hoping J.J. isn't out too long. Silva looked great - I'm still unhappy with the size of his contract - but his results last night were impressive. Not sure how much rope Richie has - but probably not much. Time for the M's to sign Barry Bonds?

I would agree with you about Bonds, Seems the rest of the league is boycotting him though. 1 year contract with heavy incentives clause. Probably would be able to offset the contract with increased attendance. Makes too much sense though.
