the Mariners this season.  It's Cognitive Dissonance.  Jack Z. has been trying to do 2 (IMHO) mutually exclusive things this year - make the playoffs AND rebuild.  At least now that the playoff My team is falling so far behind the division leaders that they don't have a very realistic chance of getting back into the race, and I don't really care.  It's a shame that it's come to this.  I used to love baseball.  After the last 5 years, I'm not so sure anymore.
